Josh Holley Bio

Josh Holley, 30, hails from Statesboro, Ga. graduating from Statesboro High School in 1997, where he worked on the newspaper staff and served as president of choir and drama club his senior year. His interest in acting and performance led him to study Speech and Communication at Young Harris College, where he competed in Dramatic Interpretation for which he broke school records and won two national bronze awards. In 1999 he and his then-band, SNAKEDANCE, recorded and released an independant album on which Joshua was a songwriter, guitarist, and the lead vocalist. Known in the Savannah area as an accomplished actor and gifted comedian, he has been making a name for himself the past few years as a guiarist/vocalist/actor of the Savannah Theatre, performing in LOST IN THE 50's, JUKEBOX JOURNEY, BROADWAY ON BULL STREET, HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD and A CHRISTMAS TRADITION.

Though he's known for his electric presence and rubberlegged electric guitar slinging, Josh is also a HUGE fan of acoustic folk and blues, and has been writing songs since he first picked up a guitar. He recieved honorable mention in the 2006 Riverbluff Music Festival Performing Songwriter Competition for his song 'IT AIN'T ENOUGH', and has been featured on Q105.3's Second Sunday showcase, WTOC's Mid Morning Live, WRFG's 'Good Morning Blues' and was the featured artist on Acoustic Long Island January 10, 2007 ----Acoustic LI is the #1 acoustic podcast on itunes!!!! Currently, Josh is starring in 'ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE' at the HIstoric Savannah Theatre, and recording both alone and with producer Bobby Hamilton for follow up projects to the 'Self Titled' ep. He teaches improvisation at the Savannah Children's Theatre on weekends. Josh is also engaged to Anna Eitmann, and the two plan to wed in April 2009.
